Well, okay, not officially.
But, once the pool is open and the Memorial Day Picnic crumbs are brushed away, then for all practical purposes summer is said to be here.
Our pool is back open this year and it’s the first year that the kids are old enough to actually swim and swim and swim for hours on end. And so, yesterday they did.
And then last night they fell asleep in an instant and didn’t budge until 8:00 AM.
An 8:00 AM wake-up is akin to sleeping into 2PM in our house. I can count the number of times it’s ever happened and boy when it does, it is great.
