Little Kimmie Miesner just skated a tremendous short program. Coming off the ice her coach asked her how it felt. “Unbelievable,” she said. I can imagine. That must be it.

I am truly awed by the many talents this time around with the women’s figure skating. I hope everyone skates a solid program – hate it when everyone falls – I like it when they medal based on the quality of the skate and not based on who fell less.
I agree Dana. I love when everyone does great. I don’t totally understand how the new scoring system takes into account artistry, though. Irina Slutskya is awesome, but I don’t think she has near the artistry of Sasha Cohen. Irina was pissed that she was in second, and vowed to kick her ass tonight…or something to that effect. But if Cohen skates like the other night, I think she’ll win…
