Dance the Blues Away….

December 31, 2005

Come on.
Everyone’s a little glum when January rolls around.
Not that it’s January yet.
But it’s like you can’t help it. Imagining the glum feeling in mid-December is almost impossible. Then it arrives like a cloud of heavy feelings and extra weight.
I was in the post office and the song “Come on Eileen” started on [...]

Miss Snark…

December 28, 2005

…okay, I’m having trouble coming up with post Christmas posts so I just wanted to point any interested writers to Miss Snark’s blog.
I have her blogrolled so you can click there.
She’s an agent who blogs undercover. A lot of people wonder if she is legitimate.
I have a really successful core of fellow writers, mentors [...]

Sweet Beth

December 23, 2005

(long story coming up…)
It’s 9:30 December 23 and three years ago at this time I was in labor with Beth. I had gone into the hospital with her at 32 (December 16) weeks gestation, dialated, and having contractions. With massive amounts of magnesium sulfate, they stopped my labor.

…sorry to harp on education.
But I just read an article in the Post Gazette about the different ways Pittsburgh Public is trying to save the district money.
A good thing in general.
However, one of their grand plans is to have teachers forgo use of COFFEE MAKERS.
Yes, this is being batted around as reasonable.
I once worked in [...]

Vociferous…

December 20, 2005

…the word of the day.
Very important to have one of those, you know.
Or just annoying. We’ll see how it plays here.

Deal or No Deal…

December 20, 2005

…Dumb or Dumber.
If this show lasts past tonight I’m gong to puke.
Or at least experience a shot of heartburn.
The lady on the show now just announced she feels lucky because she’s wearing her lucky bra.
Those of you who know me must know I’m dying to know exactly what brand of bra that is.
Not really.
But this [...]

Not to bug you guys…

Essay…

December 19, 2005

was in E (Entertainment, Education, and Employment) Resource, not the City Paper as was reported to me earlier this weekend! Still, very good news.
Though Bill was pissed about the essay.
Said it painted him in a negative light.
I disagree.
Others I know disagree with him, too.
He was not particularly loquacious after reading it.
Ahhh, the risks of [...]
